To Become a Sponsor
How PTAs can bring the DemandTec Retail Challenge to their school.

Step 1: Raise / fund the Regional Scholarship prize
To participate in the DemandTec Retail Challenge your school will need to raise a minimum of $5000 which will cover the Regional Scholarship prize. 100% of your contribution will be allocated to your students in the form of the scholarship prize. The winning team will automatically be entered into the semi-finals round for a chance to make it to the Grand Championship round held at NASDAQ.
There are two ways you can raise these funds:
- Corporate or Individual Sponsor:
Many Corporations and/or individuals may be interested in becoming a DemandTec Retail Challenge Sponsor. There are many benefits in becoming a sponsor. If you’re interested in recruiting a sponsor visit our Recruit a Sponsor page for additional information.
- School Fundraiser:
Another option is to run a fundraising event where all/portion of the money raised will contribute to the Regional Scholarship prize. You can find some fun fundraising ideas on the National PTA website.
Step 2: Enroll (deadline: September 19, 2011)
Once you have found a sponsor and/or raised the required funds, you will need to register for the program by completing the “Become a Sponsor” form. Please note that if you have raised the funds through a fundraising effort, your school should be listed as the official sponsor. If the funds are being provided by a corporation / individual, that company / person will be the designated sponsor.
Step 3: Participate
Once you have enrolled you will be contacted by a Retail Challenge Program Manager to help you get started. A list of key dates and milestones can be found on the For Participating Schools page.
